Here are a collection of suggestions for troubleshooting the display of listings
Can't Get My Listings to Display
What's Happening?
The widget is not showing expected properties.
Why Is This Happening?
The most common reason for not seeing expected listings is using the wrong MLS Agent ID and/or MLS Office ID in a filter.
How To Fix It
Use the Listing Lookup tool to display the meta data (status, listing agent id, office id etc.) for of one of your listings.
This will show MLS Agent ID and MLS Office ID.
- In the menu, go to "Listings" - then "Listing Lookup" as shown below:
- In the Lookup Listing panel, search for one of your 'active' properties using the MLS number (listing ID) . This will then show the Agent ID and Office ID for this listing
- You can now ensure correct values in your filter and/or Personal Profile.
NOTE: The "display" widgets default setting - i.e. with NO filter - is to show the account's "featured listings". See default listings for details.
Listing Data Not Updating
What's Happening?
- Photos not updating for your listing
- Open House times and dates not accurate
- Price inaccurate
- Property status inaccurate (e.g. it sold but still shows active)
Why Is This Happening?
These problems are generally caused by caching plugins.
How To Fix It
See Troubleshooting WordPress Caching Issues
- Change your cache time frame to 24 hours (this usually resolves most issues)
- Update settings for your caching plugin to exclude all pages that have Buying Buddy Widgets on them
My Listing expired (or was added) on DATE, but it's still showing (or not showing)
Caching issues on WordPress are most common reason for inaccurate widget displays of listings.
What's Happening?
A caching plugin or system is forcing old data to be displayed and preventing the IDX from updating.
