Lead Import via EMAIL

You can import leads to your Leads and Contacts account by including the lead's info in the body of a specially-formatted TEXT email.

NOTE: Lead Import IDs are user-specific and are shown on the Lead >Add Leads panel.

To Import a Lead

Send a specially formatted ** PLAIN TEXT** email to the designated email address (do not send html or formatted emails as these will fail).
Structure the data in your email EXACTLY as follows:

TO: Email Address

Send a specially formatted email to: leadimport@leadsandcontacts.com

Leads will be imported to your account and assigned to a User based on the User's Lead Import ID, or the User Referral ID or a Round Robin if specified in the email.

Subject (optional):

Subject can be left blank - it will be disregarded

Body of email:

The following block of options needs to be present somewhere in the body of the email.
See the Lead Import-API Field Reference for a full explanation of every field.

See an email template that you can copy here.

Warning:
1. It is important to keep the EXACT syntax of field names to ensure your leads are imported correctly.
2. You must leave a space between the # and the field name in each row.
3. Avoid blank lines between items. Send the data as plain text with LINE BREAKS only between lines. Do not allow your email system to convert to formatted paragraphs.
