This guide walks you through adding Buying Buddy to a website built with GoDaddy Airo. Because Airo builds your site with an AI assistant, the entire setup is done by handing your GoDaddy Airo assistant a short series of ready-made AI prompts that your Buying Buddy dashboard generates for you. For each step your dashboard shows a single, complete prompt — you copy it and paste it into your Airo assistant. There is no code to copy or paste by hand.
AI-guided setup only: GoDaddy Airo does not use a manual, copy-the-script installation. Instead, you hand your Airo assistant a series of personalized prompts and it installs the Buying Buddy package and configures your site for you.
What the AI Prompts Set Up for You
The prompts are generated specifically for your account, so your Airo assistant already has everything it needs. Setup runs as a five-step flow: three small install prompts, one quick settings entry, and an optional "add recommended widgets" prompt. The install is split into small prompts on purpose — each one gives the assistant a single, focused job, and each prompt first checks that the previous step was completed before it makes any changes.
How each step works: For every step, the dashboard shows a Get AI prompt button. Open it to reveal the full, personalized prompt, then copy it and paste it into your GoDaddy Airo assistant. Each prompt is already set up for your account — paste it exactly as it is.
Step-1 Prompt — Install the Package
- ✅ Installs the Buying Buddy package into your site
- ✅ Wires the package into your site at the top level so widgets can work on every page
- ✅ Confirms your site still builds with no errors
Step-2 Prompt — Create the Foundation Pages
- ✅ Creates your foundation pages — a Results page, a Property Details page, a Market Report page, and a Communities Hub page
- ✅ Adds the required MLS disclaimer site-wide
Step-3 Prompt — Add Search & Get Your Settings
- ✅ Adds a property search form to your home page so visitors can start searching right away
- ✅ Measures Widget Header Offset values if your site has a sticky header
- ✅ Ends with an Action Required Before Previewing summary — your Website Type, your Airo Preview Domain, and your header offset values
In Step 4 you enter that summary into your dashboard (right on the install page — it takes under a minute). Then the optional Step-5 prompt adds the recommended extras:

The Step-5 prompt asks before making any changes — it presents the six recommended widgets as a checklist with everything pre-checked (or as a simple numbered list, depending on your assistant), so you just uncheck anything you don't want and confirm. Each new page is added to a single See More.. menu on your site, so all of your Buying Buddy pages are grouped together and easy to find.
Built-in guardrails: Every prompt opens with strict rules for the assistant — it may only add the Buying Buddy items requested, it must not redesign, restyle, or "improve" your site or its styling, and it must never publish your site. Each prompt also ends by listing every file it touched, so you can see exactly what changed. You always preview and publish yourself.
More on the way: The AI prompts are regularly improved, and additional setup options may be added over time — so it is always worth grabbing a fresh copy from your dashboard when you install.
Before You Begin
You need an active Buying Buddy account. The widgets will not load without one, and the AI prompts are personalized to your account. Don't have an account yet? Start a free trial or buy a license.
Set your website type to GoDaddy Airo. So the dashboard shows you the correct AI prompts and instructions, confirm your website is set as a GoDaddy Airo site on the Get Ready tab in before you start.
Installation Steps
1
Run the Step-1 Prompt — Install the Package
Copy your personalized install prompt and let Airo do the work
The Step-1 prompt installs the Buying Buddy package and wires it into your site, then confirms your site still builds cleanly. It creates no pages yet — that is Step 2's job. It does not publish your site — you will preview first and publish yourself when you are ready.
Get the prompt:
- In your Buying Buddy dashboard, go to Installation and Setup
- On the Get Ready tab, confirm your website is set as a GoDaddy Airo site
- Open the Install with AI tab, find the Step 1 card, and click Get AI prompt to reveal the full prompt
- Copy the entire prompt — it is already personalized to your account
Run it in Airo:
- Open your GoDaddy Airo assistant chat
- Paste the prompt exactly as copied, and let the assistant run
- The assistant installs the package, confirms the build passes, and tells you to come back for the Step-2 prompt
Paste the prompt as-is. The prompt contains the details your account needs to work correctly. Copy and paste it without editing it.
If the assistant stops and reports something instead: each prompt checks your site before making changes. If it says Buying Buddy is already installed, follow its message — that is the check working as designed, not an error.

Run the Step-2 Prompt — Create the Foundation Pages
Create your Results, Property Details, Market Report, and Communities Hub pages and the MLS disclaimer
The Step-2 prompt creates your foundation pages — a Results page, a Property Details page, a Market Report page, and a Communities Hub page — inside your site's existing layout, and adds the required MLS disclaimer site-wide. It first verifies the Step-1 install completed; if not, it stops and tells you to run Step 1 first.
- Back on the Install with AI tab, find the Step 2 card and click Get AI prompt to reveal the full prompt
- Copy the entire prompt and paste it into the same Airo assistant chat
- The assistant creates the foundation pages and the disclaimer, then tells you to come back for the Step-3 prompt
Confirm your pages (optional): Once the assistant finishes, you can review the new foundation pages — Results, Property Details, Market Report, and Communities Hub — directly in your Airo site. The assistant also adds a new See More.. item to your site menu with Communities as its first entry; the Results, Property Details, and Market Report pages stay out of the menu because your widgets link to them directly.

Run the Step-3 Prompt — Add Search & Get Your Settings
Add the home-page search form and get the values for your dashboard
The Step-3 prompt adds a property search form to your home page and measures your Widget Header Offset values if your site has a sticky header. It first verifies Steps 1 and 2 completed.
- On the Install with AI tab, find the Step 3 card and click Get AI prompt to reveal the full prompt
- Copy the entire prompt and paste it into the same Airo assistant chat
- The assistant adds the search form, measures the header offset if needed, and ends with your settings summary
When it finishes: the assistant shows an Action Required Before Previewing summary with three items — your Website Type, your Airo Preview Domain, and (if your site has a sticky header) your Widget Header Offset values. Keep that summary handy — you will enter those in the next step.

Enter the Values from Airo
Enter the details the assistant gives you so your widgets load
When the Step-3 prompt finishes, it shows an Action Required Before Previewing summary. You can enter those values right here on the install page — no need to leave it. Staying on the Install with AI tab, go to the Step 4 card (Enter the values from Airo) and fill in:
- Airo Preview Domain (optional) — paste the address where you preview your unpublished site. It looks like
yourapp.preview.airoapp.ai(Airo includes a server code in the middle that differs from one project to the next, so copy your own exactly rather than this example). You only need this if you want to preview your site before publishing. If you don't see widgets displayed, please allow a minute or two. - Widget Header Offset (only if provided) — if your site has a sticky header, the assistant gives you three numbers (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop). Enter them so the Results and Map widgets are not hidden behind your header.
Then click Save Settings. Your Website Type should already be set to GoDaddy Airo from the Get Ready tab — if not, set it there first. (You can also manage these values in the full editor under , but you no longer need to leave the install page.)
About the Airo Preview Domain: This is the address where you view your site while it is still unpublished. Airo builds it from your app name plus a server code that differs from one project to the next, so copy the exact address your Airo preview opens rather than typing it from an example. Adding it authorizes Buying Buddy widgets to load there, so you can preview everything before you go live. Allow a minute or two after saving for widgets to appear.
Why this matters: Buying Buddy widgets only load on authorized domains. Until you add your Airo Preview Domain, widgets will be blank while you preview your unpublished site. Once your site is published to your live domain, widgets load there automatically — no extra step needed.
Seeing "Sorry, this domain is not authorized"? That message means the plugin is working but the address you are viewing has not been authorized yet. To preview unpublished changes, add your Airo Preview Domain (above). To view the finished site, publish to your live domain.

Run the Step-5 Prompt — Add Recommended Widgets (optional)
Add the recommended extras — pages and a login bar
The Step-5 prompt is optional but recommended. Once the install is complete and your settings are entered, run it to add a Search page, Featured Listings, a Home Value form, a Contact Me form, an About Me page, and a Register/Login bar in your site header — all wired into your navigation. Like the install prompts, it does not publish your site.
Get the prompt:
- Back on the Install with AI tab — — find the Step 5 card (Add Recommended Widgets) and click Get AI prompt
- Copy the entire prompt — it is also personalized to your account
Run it in Airo:
- Paste the Step-5 prompt into the same Airo assistant chat
- The assistant presents the six recommended widgets as a checklist with everything pre-checked (or as a numbered list if checkboxes aren't available) — uncheck anything you don't want, then confirm your selection
- The assistant adds the pages you chose to a single See More.. dropdown in your site menu, and (if selected) adds the Register/Login bar across the top of your header
If the header offset changed: Adding the Register/Login bar may change the height of your site header. If it does, the assistant will give you a fresh set of Widget Header Offset values to enter — update them on the Step 4 card, or under .
Where your pages live: All of your Buying Buddy pages — Communities from Step 2, plus any recommended pages you add here — are grouped under one See More.. menu item on your site. That is the easiest place to open and review each page. If you would prefer them somewhere else, or want to rename the menu, you can rearrange your menu in Airo at any time — the pages themselves keep working wherever they sit.

Enable Property Sharing
Set up social media sharing with correct listing photos
This final step makes sure that when a property is shared on social media, the link shows the correct listing photo and details. Because your Airo site builds listing pages in the browser, this domain-level setup is what gives shared links their proper preview image and information.
To allow visitors to share properties from your website on Facebook and other social media platforms with the correct listing photos and details, you'll need to set up a "bb" subdomain for your domain.
Setup Options: You can use either Cloudflare (recommended for free SSL certificates) or your current domain registrar.

Verify Your Setup
On your Airo Preview Domain (or your live site), run a quick end-to-end check:
- Submit a search from the home-page search form — you should land on your Results page with listings
- Click a listing — you should land on your Property Details page showing that property
- Confirm the MLS disclaimer appears on your site
Success: If search, results, property details, and the disclaimer all work, your Buying Buddy installation on GoDaddy Airo is complete.
Ready to go live? The AI prompts do not publish your site for you. Once you have verified everything on your Airo Preview Domain, publish to your live domain in GoDaddy Airo when you are ready — widgets load there automatically.
Troubleshooting
Widgets appear, then go blank when navigating between pages
This is the classic sign that an older, incorrect installation method was used — a JavaScript snippet added by hand instead of the Buying Buddy package. That older method is not reliable on Airo. Re-run the install prompts from the Install with AI tab (each one checks whether earlier steps completed, so it is safe to run them again). If the problem persists, run the Check what Buying Buddy components are installed prompt on the Setup Utility Prompts tab and send the report to our support team.
"Sorry, this domain is not authorized"
The package is loading, but the address you are viewing has not been authorized on your account yet. To preview unpublished changes, add your Airo Preview Domain on the Install with AI tab's Step 4 card (see Step 4). To view your finished site, publish to your live domain — it is authorized automatically.
Nothing appears at all
Re-run the setup with a fresh copy of your AI prompts from , and confirm your website type is set to GoDaddy Airo. Each prompt checks whether earlier steps completed, so it is safe to run them again — the assistant will tell you what is missing. If widgets still do not appear, run the Check what Buying Buddy components are installed prompt — it is on the Setup Utility Prompts tab, it changes nothing, and it prints a short report of every Buying Buddy component on your site. Send that report to our support team through your Buying Buddy dashboard and we can tell you exactly what is wrong.
