This is your starting point for setting up Buying Buddy with HighLevel. HighLevel (GHL) can do two jobs for your business at the same time, and a complete setup connects both. This guide walks you through the whole journey in order and points you to the detailed guide for each step.
This guide covers: Installing property search on your HighLevel site, embedding your Buying Buddy dashboard, sending leads from Buying Buddy into HighLevel, sending HighLevel contacts into Buying Buddy, and where to go for developer API access. Complete the stages that apply to you - you do not need every one.
The two ways Buying Buddy works with HighLevel
Understanding these two roles makes the rest of the setup clear:
- HighLevel as your website: you install Buying Buddy IDX widgets (property search, listings, maps) on your HighLevel pages and embed your Buying Buddy dashboard so it lives inside HighLevel.
- HighLevel as your CRM: leads and their activity flow between Buying Buddy and HighLevel in both directions, so your HighLevel workflows and automations run on real Buying Buddy activity.
Your complete setup at a glance
- Install the search widgets on your HighLevel site.
- Embed your Buying Buddy dashboard inside HighLevel.
- Send leads to HighLevel (Buying Buddy to HighLevel).
- Send contacts to Buying Buddy (HighLevel to Buying Buddy).
- Go deeper with the developer API.
1
Install the Buying Buddy search widgets
Add live property search to your HighLevel site
This puts live MLS property search, listing results, and map widgets on your HighLevel pages. How you install depends on which HighLevel website builder you used, and you may have more than one site:
- Traditional HighLevel sites and funnels: follow Install Buying Buddy on HighLevel.
- Sites built in HighLevel AI Studio: follow Install Buying Buddy on HighLevel AI Studio.
Not sure which you have? If you built the site using AI Studio's chat-style builder, use the AI Studio guide. Otherwise use the standard HighLevel guide. If you run more than one site, use the matching guide for each - the two methods can be used side by side.
If an AI Studio site was installed incorrectly and search is not working, see Fix Incorrect Installation on HighLevel AI Studio.
2
Embed your Buying Buddy dashboard in HighLevel
Manage leads, alerts, and reports without leaving HighLevel
Embed your Buying Buddy dashboard - leads, New Listing Alerts, and Market Reports - as a page inside HighLevel, so you and your team work from one place. The guide below shows you where to find your dashboard embed key and how to add it to a HighLevel page.
3
Send leads from Buying Buddy to HighLevel
Push new leads and activity into your HighLevel workflows
When someone registers or is active on your Buying Buddy search, send that lead and their activity straight into a HighLevel workflow. This is how your HighLevel automations - nurture campaigns, notifications, and task creation - start running on Buying Buddy leads. The connection is made with a webhook URL that HighLevel gives you.
In short:
- In HighLevel, open Automation and create or open the workflow you want new leads to go into.
- Add a trigger and choose Inbound Webhook, then copy the webhook URL HighLevel shows you.
- In Buying Buddy, paste that URL, choose which activity to send, and save.
- Back in HighLevel, use Fetch Sample Requests so it learns the Buying Buddy fields, then map them to yours.
- Full instructions: Webhook Setup Guides.
- Field-by-field data sent: Webhook Data Reference.
Good to know: Each event Buying Buddy sends runs your HighLevel workflow once, and every workflow execution is billable on your HighLevel account. Send only the activity you need, and keep this in mind before turning on high-volume events.
4
Send contacts from HighLevel to Buying Buddy
Set your HighLevel contacts up with alerts and reports
Send contacts from a HighLevel workflow into Buying Buddy so they are automatically set up with New Listing Alerts and Market Reports. This is the reverse direction of Step 3, and it uses your Buying Buddy import API key.
Where is my import API key? In Buying Buddy, go to . Your API key is shown there.
5
Go deeper with the developer API
For custom integrations and advanced automations
If you or your developer need to go beyond the standard connections, Buying Buddy offers a full REST API. The interactive API explorer lets you sign in and try calls against your own account.
- Try it: Buying Buddy API Explorer.
- Overview of every integration and API method: Integrations and APIs Guide.
You are all set. Once you have completed the stages that apply to you, Buying Buddy and HighLevel are fully connected - your site has live property search, your dashboard lives inside HighLevel, and leads flow between the two systems automatically.
