This guide walks you through adding Buying Buddy to a website built with HighLevel Ai Studio. Because Ai Studio is driven by an AI assistant, the entire setup is done through two ready-made AI prompts that your Buying Buddy dashboard generates for you — there is no code to copy or paste by hand.
AI-guided setup only: HighLevel Ai Studio does not use a manual, copy-the-script installation. Instead, you hand your Ai Studio assistant two personalized prompts and it installs the Buying Buddy HighLevel Ai Studio plugin and configures your site for you.
Did you install the wrong plugin?
If your site is built with HighLevel Ai Studio, check the list below. If any of these sound like your situation, you installed the JavaScript version and need to use our Migration AI Prompt to make fixes.
❌ Widgets appear on the first page load but disappear after navigating around the site.
❌ You pasted a Buying Buddy <script> tag into your site's custom code or page head.
❌ You added widgets to your pages as <bb-widget> tags (for example <bb-widget data-type="SearchResults">).
❌ Widgets show up sometimes but go blank when you click between pages.

What the AI Prompts Set Up for You
The prompts are generated specifically for your account, so the AI assistant already has everything it needs. Setup runs as a simple two-prompt process — an install prompt, followed by an optional "add recommended widgets" prompt.
Prompt 1 — Install
- ✅ Installs the Buying Buddy HighLevel Ai Studio plugin into your site
- ✅ Creates your two foundation pages — a Results page and a Property Details page
- ✅ Adds a property search form to your home page so visitors can start searching right away
- ✅ Adds the required MLS disclaimer site-wide
- ✅ Measures Widget Header Offset values if your site has a sticky header
When it finishes, the assistant shows an Action Required Before Previewing summary with the settings you need to enter in your dashboard, and then prompts you to come back for Prompt 2.
Prompt 2 — Add Recommended Widgets
- ✅ A dedicated Search page
- ✅ A Featured Listings page
- ✅ A Home Value lead-capture form
- ✅ A Contact Me form
- ✅ An About Me page
- ✅ A Register / Login bar across the top of your site header
The Step-2 prompt asks before making any changes — you can accept "all" of the recommended widgets or "pick" the ones you want. Each new page is wired into your site navigation automatically.
More on the way: The AI prompts are regularly improved, and additional setup options may be added over time — so it is always worth grabbing a fresh copy from your dashboard when you install.
Before You Begin
You need an active Buying Buddy account. The widgets will not load without one, and the AI prompts are personalized to your account. Don't have an account yet? Start a free trial or buy a license.
Set your website type to HighLevel Ai Studio. So the dashboard shows you the correct AI prompts and instructions, confirm your website is set as a HighLevel Ai Studio site in before you start.
Installation Steps

Run AI Prompt 1 — Install
Copy your personalized install prompt and let Ai Studio do the work
The Step-1 prompt installs the plugin, creates your two foundation pages (Results and Property Details), adds a search form to your home page, places the MLS disclaimer site-wide, and measures Widget Header Offset values if your site has a sticky header. It does not publish your site — you will preview first and publish yourself when you are ready.
Get the prompt:
- In your Buying Buddy dashboard, go to Installation and Setup
- On the Get Ready tab, confirm your website is set as a HighLevel Ai Studio site
- Open the Install with Ai tab, find the Step 1 card, and click Get the AI Install Prompt - Part 1 of 2
- Copy the entire prompt — it is already personalized to your account
Run it in Ai Studio:
- Open your site's AI assistant chat in HighLevel Ai Studio
- Paste in the prompt exactly as copied, and let the assistant run
- The assistant installs the plugin, sets up your Results page, Property Details page, home-page search form, and disclaimer, and measures the header offset if needed
Paste the prompt as-is. The prompt contains the details your account needs to work correctly. Copy and paste it without editing it.
When it finishes: the assistant shows an Action Required Before Previewing summary with three items — your Website Type, your Preview Domain, and (if your site has a sticky header) your Widget Header Offset values. Keep that summary handy — you will enter those in the next step. The assistant then prompts you to come back for Prompt 2.
Confirm your pages (optional): Once the assistant finishes, you can review the Results and Property Details pages it created on the Foundation Pages tab — .

Enter the Values from Ai Studio
Enter the details the assistant gives you so your widgets load
When the install prompt finishes, it shows an Action Required Before Previewing summary. You can enter those values right here on the install page — no need to leave it. Staying on the Install with Ai tab, go to the Step 2 card (Enter the values from Ai Studio) and fill in:
- Preview Domain (optional) — paste the
preview-*.vibepreview.comdomain the assistant gave you. You only need this if you want to preview your site before publishing. (Your Ai Studio assistant may call this the "Vibe Preview Domain".) If you dont see widgets displayed, please allow a minute or two. - Widget Header Offset (only if provided) — if your site has a sticky header, the assistant gives you three numbers (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop). Enter them so the Results and Map widgets are not hidden behind your header.
Then click Save Settings. Your Website Type should already be set to HighLevel Ai Studio from the Get Ready tab — if not, set it there first. (You can also manage these values in the full editor under , but you no longer need to leave the install page.)
About the Preview domain: This is a permanent address for previewing your unpublished site — it does not change when you update or republish. It is different from the preview domain originally assigned for viewing your published site, so be sure to paste the one the assistant gives you.
To manually get or check your Preview domain:: In your Ai Studio editor, click the "Open in new tab" icon (usually located at the top right of the preview panel). This will display the unpublished, working version in a full browser window using the preview domain. It can take a minute or two for systems to be fully updated and show widgets.
Why this matters: Buying Buddy widgets only load on authorized domains. Until you add your Preview domain, widgets will be blank while you preview your unpublished site. Once your site is published to your live domain, widgets load there automatically — no extra step needed.
Seeing "Sorry, this domain is not authorized"? That message means the plugin is working but the address you are viewing has not been authorized yet. To preview unpublished changes, add your Preview domain (above). To view the finished site, publish to your live domain.

Run AI Prompt 2 — Add Recommended Widgets (optional)
Add the recommended extras — pages and a login bar
The Step-2 prompt is optional but recommended. Once Step 1 is installed and your settings are entered, run it to add a Search page, Featured Listings, a Home Value form, a Contact Me form, an About Me page, and a Register/Login bar in your site header — all wired into your navigation. Like Step 1, it does not publish your site.
Get the prompt:
- Back on the Install with Ai tab — — in the Step 3 card, click Get the AI Install Prompt - Part 2 of 2
- Copy the entire prompt — it is also personalized to your account
Run it in Ai Studio:
- Paste the Step-2 prompt into the same Ai Studio assistant chat
- The assistant will ask whether you want all of the recommended widgets, or to pick which ones. Answer "all" to take everything, or "let me pick" to choose from the list.
- The assistant adds the pages you chose, links them into your site navigation, and (if selected) adds the Register/Login bar across the top of your header
If the header offset changed: Adding the Register/Login bar may change the height of your site header. If it does, the assistant will give you a fresh set of Widget Header Offset values to enter — go back to and update them.

Enable Property Sharing
Set up social media sharing with correct listing photos
This final step makes sure that when a property is shared on social media, the link shows the correct listing photo and details. Because your Ai Studio site builds listing pages in the browser, this domain-level setup is what gives shared links their proper preview image and information.
To allow visitors to share properties from your website on Facebook and other social media platforms with the correct listing photos and details, you'll need to set up a "bb" subdomain for your domain.
Setup Options: You can use either Cloudflare (recommended for free SSL certificates) or your current domain registrar.

Verify Your Setup
On your Preview domain (or your live site), run a quick end-to-end check:
- Submit a search from the home-page search form — you should land on your Results page with listings
- Click a listing — you should land on your Property Details page showing that property
- Confirm the MLS disclaimer appears on your site
Success: If search, results, property details, and the disclaimer all work, your Buying Buddy installation on HighLevel Ai Studio is complete.
Ready to go live? The AI prompts do not publish your site for you. Once you have verified everything on your Preview domain, publish to your live domain in Ai Studio when you are ready — widgets load there automatically.
Troubleshooting
Widgets appear, then go blank when navigating between pages
This is the classic sign that an older, incorrect installation method was used — a JavaScript snippet added by hand instead of the Ai Studio plugin. That older method is not reliable on Ai Studio. The fix is quick and is also handled by an AI prompt: see Fix Incorrect Installation on HighLevel Ai Studio.
"Sorry, this domain is not authorized"
The plugin is loading, but the address you are viewing has not been authorized on your account yet. To preview unpublished changes, add your Preview domain on the Install with Ai tab's Step 2 card (see Step 2). To view your finished site, publish to your live domain — it is authorized automatically.
Nothing appears at all
Re-run the setup with a fresh copy of your AI prompts from , and confirm your website type is set to HighLevel Ai Studio. If widgets still do not appear, contact our support team through your Buying Buddy dashboard.
Custom Menu Links
Embed your Buying Buddy Dashboard as a menu item inside HighLevel. Each agent uses their own Embed Key so they see their own private dashboard.
